Hunting in Asia

Hunting in Asia

Asia is the largest part of the world and a real hunting paradise, thanks to an astonishing variety of big game species. These are magnificent argali, incredible ibex, massive brown bear, deer and maral with impressive antlers, unique Caucasian turs, graceful chamois, slender roe deer and many more coveted hunting trophies that hunters all over the world dream of. Asia demands firmness and thorough preparation from the hunter; and those who stand the trial will get an ample award.

The true trophy hunter is a self-disciplined perfectionist seeking a single animal, the ancient patriarch well past his prime that is often an outcast from his own kind… If successful, he will enshrine the trophy in a place of honor. This is a more noble and fitting end than dying on some lost and lonely ledge where the scavengers will pick his bones, and his magnificent horns will weather away and be lost forever. Elgin Gates

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to book my hunt in Asia well in advance?

Some hunts, like hunting for Maral or Argali, need to be booked well in advance, at least a year before you come. Ibex hunting can be booked 2-3 months prior to the arrival dates: as a rule, we have available licenses and terms.

  • What if I pay a deposit and then the Asian country doesn’t open the season this year?

We will discuss a possible solution with you. Sometimes we return back the deposit, or we can offer another destination for you and transfer your deposit towards its costs.

  • What is the success rate in Asia?

Basically all hunting grounds in Asia are free range. This means that the success rate will depend on a number of reasons: weather, hunter’s level of fitness and ability to make acute long distance shots at 300-400 meters/yards, also on the population density of the species desired. The success rate in Asia averages about 70-80%.

  • Is it difficult to import your own gun in an Asian country?

If you provide all information and copies of documents on time, then we will be able to draw up an import permit to any Asian hunting destination. You will import your gun without any difficulties. Keep in mind that some countries restrict the amount of cartridges to be imported.

  • How can I communicate with the local guides, if I do not know their language?

Stalker Group provides a company representative of an interpreter for all our groups and hunters. They will help you to understand each other and make sure your hunt goes smoothly.
