Other antelopes Hunting

This group includes several species of Wildebeest, large hoofed mammals inhabiting Africa. These hollow-horned animals resemble buffalo a little bit, but are lighter built and have smaller horns. Wildebeest grow up to 45-55 inches (115-140 cm) at the shoulder and weigh about 330-550 pounds (150-250 kg).

“A peculiar virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter ordinarily has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his acts, they are dictated by his own conscience, rather than that of onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact.”
A. Leopold

OTHER ANTELOPES HUNTING

Wildebeest hunting is conducted by spot and stalk. It can be organized in the open savanna territory, or in the bush, where a wildebeest is sometimes quite hard to find. The hunt is available both in the state hunting grounds and at the private hunting farms. Keep in mind that the wildebeest are mighty and tough animals. They are often compared with buffalo. The hunt calls for moderation, stamina, physical tenacity and acute shots, because this antelope is able to run for a long time and to attack severely if wounded.
