Distribution: The Pamir, Alai, Transalai and Tian Shan mountains in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and China.
Description: This subspecies of Siberian Ibex is the largest one and grows the largest horns. Male horns reach up to 39-60 inches (100-150 cm) and measure up to 11 inches (30 cm) at the base.
CITES: Appendix III. To export this species from any country that has included this species in Appendix III, an export permit is required. Import of the Appendix III species requires a certificate of origin issued by the exporting country.
