Cats Hunting

Cats, or felidae, is the family of carnivorous mammals. Cats have retractile claws, slender muscular bodies and strong flexible forelimbs. The coloration varies from grayish to tawny, often with stripes and spots. The fur is short, dense in northern species. Cats have acute hearing and vision.

“Hunting is the noblest sport yet devised by the hand of man. There were mighty hunters in the Bible, and all the caves where the cavemen lived are full of carvings of assorted game the head of the house drug home. If you hunt to eat, or hunt for sport for something fine, something that will make you proud, and make you remember every single detail of the day you found him and shot him, that is good too.”
H. Thoreau

CATS HUNTING

Wild cats occur in Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas. Some wild cat species are adapted to forest habitats, some to arid environments, and a few also to wetlands and mountainous terrain. Cat hunting is always a unique and thrilling experience that holds a lot of surprises. Cats are very smart and dangerous carnivores. Two of them are on the Big Five trophies list (lion and leopard). For example, many countries do not allow hunting leopards with calibers smaller than .375, although this furious animal is no bigger than a large dog. Different cat species are hunted by baiting, from a hide, by stalking or with hunting dogs.
