SPIRAL-HORNED ANTELOPES HUNTING
The spiral-horned antelopes are probably the most desired of all plains game of Africa. Besides their unique horns, many of them have beautiful coats of many shades and with a great variety of spots and stripes. This group also includes several rare species that are among the most prestigious African trophies, such as Bongo, for example. Hunting for the spiral-horned antelopes can involve different methods, depending on their habitat. The plains species are hunted by spot and stalk. As a rule, the hunter together with the hunting team drives around the hunting area in a 4x4 vehicle trying to locate the trophy males. Once the desired species is located, the stalk begins on foot. The antelopes inhabiting swampy lands and forests are hunted with dogs or using special hides.
