Northern Macedonia is a landlocked country located in the central Balkan Peninsula in Southeast Europe. It is one of the successor states of the former Yugoslavia, from which it declared independence in 1991. The arrival point is Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Plan to spend 5 days in the country, including a 3-day hunt.
Hunting is organized by stalking or by waiting. The hunt is relatively easy compared to the other mountain hunts.
Accommodation is provided at a luxurious hunting house with eight rooms. The house is located within the hunting grounds. The food is excellent.
Lakavica reserve is situated about 62 miles (100 km) south from Skopje. This is a territory of approximately 7,000 hectares, of which 2,500 are fenced. The hunting terrain is mostly mountainous with typical Mediterranean vegetation. Many Muflon, Wild Boar, Fallow deer, Roe deer, Axis deer, Kri Kri Ibex, Barbary sheep and other animal species inhabit this region.
