Himalayan Ibex Hunting

Capra sibirica hemalayanus
Distribution: Both sides of the western Himalayas from Chitral in Pakistan, eastward to Leh and the upper Shyok River in Ladakh, and southeastward to the upper Sutlej River in northern India.
Description: The average horns are shorter than those of the Mid-Asian Ibex, the average length is up to 50 inches (127 cm). However they have similar massive bases measuring up to 11 inches (30 cm).
CITES: Appendix III. To export this species from any country that has included this species in Appendix III, an export permit is required. Import of the Appendix III species requires a certificate of origin issued by the exporting country.
