Distribution: United States: Arizona and the western part of New-Mexico. Mexico: Sonora, Durango and Chihuahua.
Description: One of the smaller white-tailed deers. Ears and tail are disproportionately long for body size. The coloration is lighter, as is usual in desert animals. Mature bucks have four points to a side including the brow tines.
CITES: Appendix III. To export this species from any country that has included this species in Appendix III, an export permit is required. Import of the Appendix III species requires a certificate of origin issued by the exporting country.
