BLACK LECHWE Hunting

Kobus leche smithemani
Distribution: The area surrounding Lake Bangweulu in northeastern Zambia.
Description: The black lechwe is not actually black, but old males may turn blackish brown on the back and sides. The horns are shorter and thinner than in the other races.
CITES: Appendix II. Only an export permit is required. These species do not require an import permit (only in some countries that have adopted more strict rules).
