Distribution: Coastal Alaska from the Yukon River delta southward and eastward to the British Columbia border.
Description: With the possible exception of the polar bear, the Alaska brown bear is the largest land-dwelling carnivore in the world.
CITES: Appendix II. Only an export permit is required. These species do not require an import permit (only in some countries that have adopted more strict rules).
