Distribution: New Zealand, Finland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia.
Description: Introduced animal. A graceful medium-size deer with a long,slender neck, fairly large ears and bushy tail, and long, slim legs. Antlers in New Zealand are smaller and thinner than those in North America.
CITES: Appendix III. To export this species from any country that has included this species in Appendix III, an export permit is required. Import of the Appendix III species requires a certificate of origin issued by the exporting country.
