Distribution: The eastern part of South Africa: the Transvaal except for the northeast and west; Natal; and eastern Cape Province. There also are limited distributions in the Lobatsi area of southeastern Botswana and in the Lobombo Mountains of southwestern Mozambique.
Description: The southern mountain reedbuck is larger and somewhat redder in color than other mountain reedbuck, but is otherwise similar.
