The end of January in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, marks a sacred tradition for our hunter - the final goose flight of the season.
This year, the Highlands showed their true character. A harsh winter with sub-zero temperatures, relentless wind, rain, and sleet tested even the most resilient. Part of the flocks had already moved south, seeking milder grounds.
Yet, tradition and skill prevail. Our hunter, Alexander, drawing on years of experience and exceptional marksmanship, delivered a remarkable solo performance. Day after day, he bagged between 20 to 50 geese - a result that would challenge a group of 3-4 hunters.
Scotland isn't just about scenery; it's about character. And this season, character was earned in full measure. A testament to perseverance, skill, and respect for the age-old tradition of the hunt.
