HARNESSED BUSHBUCK Hunting

Tragelaphus scriptus scriptus
Distribution: From southern Senegal eastward as far as southern Chad and the Central African Republic; southward throughout Rio Muni, Gabon and Congo (B); and Congo (K) except for the northeast corner and Katanga Province in the southeast.
Description: The smallest race of bushbuck, with the smallest horns. Body and horns are smaller in the western parts of its distribution range, increasing in size toward the east. The ground color is a chestnut red, with the harness pattern very pronounced. Females are a lighter shade, with more conspicuous stripes and spots.
