Distribution: United States: Texas. Mexico: Coahuila and Chihuahua.
Description: One of the smallest white-tailed deers. The antlers form small baskets. The average weight of an adult male is 104 pounds (47 kg). Inhabits elevations above 4,500 feet (1,370 meters).
CITES: Appendix III. To export this species from any country that has included this species in Appendix III, an export permit is required. Import of the Appendix III species requires a certificate of origin issued by the exporting country.
