BLACK RHINOCEROS Hunting

Distribution: Remnant populations exist in Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, Angola, Zambia, northern Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, the Okavango region of Botswana, South Africa, and Swaziland.
Description: Shoulder height 55-65 inches (140-165 cm). Weight 1,800-3,000 pounds (800-1,350 kg). Two horns on the skull are made of keratin with the larger front horn typically about 20 inches (50 cm) long. It has a pointed and prehensile upper lip, which it uses to grasp leaves and twigs when feeding.
CITES: Appendix I (Protected Species). Requires import and export permits.
